What to Expect
Skills Bootcamps in Leadership & Management are free to the learner, flexible courses of eight weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.
The Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for learners and are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. They are designed to help teach and strengthen skills for anyone who wants to increase their business activity, up-skill in their current role, or gain vital skills to secure a new position.
Skills Bootcamps in Leadership & Management will cover:
Creating a Small Team Culture
Managing Success and Failure, Dealing with Change, Risks & Issues
Process, Plans and Reporting
Time and Resource Management
Productivity and Profit
Telling your Story and Creating a Social Mission, Being a Sustainable Business
This course is for anyone from any background and stage in their life who wants to improve their knowledge and skills in Leadership & Management. This could include people starting their own business or employees looking to build their skillset within their current role or boost their CV to improve their employability.
Eligibility
Learners must either currently work within Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire or intend to work within these areas on completion of the Skills Bootcamps. They must be 19 years or older and have not completed any other Skills Bootcamps in the current financial year.
How are Skills Bootcamps funded?
The Skills Bootcamps are part of the UK Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life, and are funded and managed by the West of England Combined Authority, led by Metro Mayor Dan Norris, and delivered by YTKO.
Sessions will be held mainly online but to help you get to know your tutors and fellow participants, we hold initial in-person sessions. If you are unable to make any of these sessions, we can provide hybrid learning and access to recordings.
